Manufactured in 1907. The rifle features a special order half octagon barrel. Dovetailed high blade front sight, the rear sight dovetail has a filler block and there is a non-factory receiver mounted peep sight. The upper left rear barrel flat is marked with the nickel steel/smokeless powder marking followed by "25-35 W.C.F.". The Winchester oval proof mark is marked on the top barrel flat and the top of the receiver at the breech. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK" and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. Full length magazine tube with the 1893 patent date on the takedown latch, blue barrel, magazine tube and receiver with casehardened remaining parts, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a steel forend cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth brown patina with 30% of original blue finish in protected areas. The wood has been lightly sanded and varnished, and remains very good with only a few light dings and handling marks. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
