This rifle was manufactured in 1957. The action was later used by John Bollinger to create this attractive safari rifle. There is a brass beaded blade front sight and a scope base mounted rear peep sight. The barrel has one tapped hole with a filler screw installed. The left side of the barrel is engraved with the caliber "Four Sixteen/TAYLOR" and the right side is engraved "John Bolliger/RIFLEMAKER". The bolt handle is checkered and the bolt body and follower are jeweled. Mounted on laminated multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend tip, steel grip cap and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.

Near mint as custom built, 99% of the blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches and high edge wear. There is a small spot of pitting underneath the finish near the vent hole. The stock is also excellent with some scattered minor scratches and dings along with some very minor chipping at the toe. Mechanically excellent.
