Manufactured in 1939 for issue to the United States Navy. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block address/patent marking with the Rampant Colt in the center on the left side of the slide and "P" on top. The replacement slide has been renumbered to match the frame serial number. No inspector mark is visible on the frame, with "W/VP" trigger guard marking, milled short trigger, wide hammer, checkered arched mainspring housing, "COLT 45 AUTO" marked barrel and full checkered grips.

Very fine as professionally restored, with 98% plus blue overall, showing a bright takedown line below the slide stop, some light scratches on top of the chamber, faint edge wear and scattered handling marks. The slide has been renumbered to match the frame. Grips are excellent, with a few dents on the crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
