Manufactured circa 1918-1919. Blade front and Lyman receiver mounted adjustable peep sight, with the two-line Winchester address and patent markings on the left side of the barrel ahead of "22 SHORT" and the Winchester "WP" stamp on top of the breech. The receiver is finished blue, with "US/(ordnance bomb)" stamped on the upper tang immediately behind the hammer. Smooth straight wrist stock, with forearm grasping grooves, sling swivels, and a smooth steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as partially refinished (cold blue touch up on the receiver), with 60% of the original blue finish on the balance. Areas of brown and gray patina are present on the barrel, barrel band, and forearm tip, with scattered light spotting and handling marks. The receiver shows a mixed black and gray pattern overall. The stock is very good, with some mild dings concentrated on the forearm and an attractive grain on the forearm. Mechanically excellent.
