This lot consists of a matching pair of Ottoman Empire flintlock pistols. Highlighted embellishments are featured on the barrel at the muzzle and breech. The barrel tang has a floral engraving. The lock plate and hammer have a deep line border with light traces of the original gold embellishments remaining. The iron trigger guard is engraved with a dot and checkered pattern. The silver gilt mounts are the buttcap, side plate and ramrod pipes. The rear ramrod pipe has high relief floral blossom pattern, the side plate has a high relief vine and leaf pattern, and the buttcap has a high relief military motif. The full length stock has silver engraved and wire inlays, a flared butt and a large plain thumb escutcheon. The wooden ramrod has swelled antique ivory tip.

Good. The pistol has a mottled gray patina with a few areas of minor pitting. The mounts retain most of the silver gilt with the buttcap being loose. The otherwise good repaired stock has some cracking on the underside of the forearm and retains some areas of silver wire. Action does not function.
