Description:

This is a very nice example of a scarce Walther PP semi-automatic pistol with rare and highly desirable, "SA-NSDAP Gruppe" marking on the front grip strap. The SA-NSDAP presided over "28" different SA Gruppes in Nazi Germany with all of them relying on Walther to supply their organizational marked pistols. Each Gruppe or district's markings were panagraphed on the grip strap, with some Gruppes having numerous pistols while other smaller Gruppes had considerably fewer pistols. The very few examples that are seen today in the US were probably captured on the Western side of Germany with those in the East, captured and destroyed by the Russians. This highly desirable Walther pistol is marked on the front strap: "SA der NSDAP/Gruppe Neiderrheim". The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner followed by "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella Mehlis (Thur)/Walther's Patent 7.65m/m, MOD PP". The right side of the muzzle, chamber and slide are marked with prewar commercial "Crown/N" proof with the serial number (102567P) marked vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger. It has fixed sights, Walther marked blue magazine with black plastic finger extension and Walther banner on the left and is fitted with black checkered grips with the Walther banner at the top.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 85% of the original blue still remaining with normal edge and high spot wear. The front and rear grip strap have been touched up to blend in with the rest of the pistol and there are two small spots on the right side where the bluing flaked off. The black plastic grips are in very fine condition with nice distinct markings and checkering overall. A very nice looking prewar Walther PP with rare SA-NSDAP grip strap markings.
