The Damascus barrel has a beautiful silver inlaid ornate floral pattern on the rear section of the top and upper left and right flats which extend 6 1/2 inches at its zenith from the breech. The barrel is fitted with a 3 leaf rear sight (two folding) and a blade front sight. The lock plate is engraved "W.F. MILLS MAKER , 120 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON" inside a banner. A floral scroll and border engraving is beautifully executed on the fish engraved hammer, lock plate, breech plug, barrel tang, trigger guard, silver forend tip and flat buttplate. The action is equipped with a hammer safety. The trigger guard tang is marked with the serial number "7395." The nicely figured one-piece half stock features fine checkering on the stock wrist, two barrel wedges with silver oval escutcheons and an engraved silver thumb escutcheon.

Fine. The barrel retains 90% of the Damascus pattern otherwise a bright appearance. The action retains traces of muted original case colors in the protected areas otherwise a smooth gray patina. The stock is good with exception of a putty filled repair on the buttstock (left side), a number of gouges on the underside of the buttstock and overall minor pressure dents and scratches. There are a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
