The lock plate on this pistol is marked "Poppe" in a cursive script, and the pistol has floral scroll style engraving that includes bird faces on most of the metal components. The top of the Damascus/pattern welded barrel is marked with a large London style "crown/V" proof, and a "I" is marked on the breech section indicating that this pistol was likely part of a target or dueling pistol set. It is fitted with a blade front and a notch rear sight is ahead of a hole at the breech. It has a full length stock with a target style checkered grip with a flat butt plate and a horn forend cap. The included ramrod is held by plain ramrod and entry pipes.

Fine. The barrel retains much of the original Damascus pattern with some bright edge wear and light pitting. About half of the original faded case colors remain and the blued components retain half of the original finish with a brown patina on the balance. The action is excellent, and the markings and engraving are sharp. The revarnished stock is very good with crisp checkering, some light pressure marks, and minor scratches.
