Colt Bisley Model Single Action revolver with Colt factory letter that describes this revolver as caliber .32 Colt with 4 3/4" barrel and blue finish. The letter states that this revolver was shipped from Colt to the Watkins-Cotrell Company in Richmond, Virginia on February 3, 1910. The revolver has the distinctive Bisley Model humpback grip, low-profile hammer and wide trigger. The trigger has a bordered knurled spur. The barrel, cylinder, trigger guard and back strap have the Colt commercial blue finish. The frame, hammer and loading gate are color casehardened. The trigger and frame screws are niter blue. The two-piece black hard rubber grips are checkered and have the Rampant Colt trademark in an oval at the top. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped with the two-line legend: "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. Co./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped: "(BISLEY MODEL) 32 COLT.". The left side of the frame is roll-stamped with Colt's three-date/two-line patent markings followed by the circled Rampant Colt trademark. The Colt "Triangle/VP" proofmark is stamped on the left front trigger guard bow and the assembly number "6" is stamped on the left rear. The inside of the loading gate is stamped with the assembly number "395". The serial number, "303068" is stamped on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. All of the visible serial numbers match.

Excellent. The revolver retains more than 95% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish. There is some minor edge wear at the muzzle and leading edge of the ejector housing and the blue finish on the back strap is thin. The frame, hammer and loading gate retain 90% plus of the casehardened finish with vivid case colors on the top strap and left side of the frame. The case colors on the right side of the frame, hammer and loading gate are slightly faded. The trigger and grip screws retain nearly all of the niter blue finish. The grips have faded to a deep brown but remain excellent with minimal handling wear. All of the markings and serial numbers are crisp. The special Bisley Model action functions perfectly. This is an excellent example of a Colt Bisley Model Single Action revolver in extremely rare 32 Colt caliber.
