Proofed in Birmingham and imported to the United States. Single nickel bead sight on the lightly engraved doll's head concave rib, which is marked "EDWINSON C. GREEN, CHELTENHAM, ENGd AGENTS G&A HAYDEN, JACKSONVILLE, IL.", with engraving at the breech, modified chokes, 2 3/4 inch chambers and an extractor. Fine scroll engraving is present on the frame and locks, with each lock marked "E.C. GREEN" and engraved with a scene of a duck in flight. Checkered round knob grip stock, with an engraved metal insert on the Schnabel tip, unmarked inscription panel on the underside of the stock and a checkered horn buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Very fine. The barrels show a strong Damascus pattern, with a ding on the rear of the rib extension and mild handling marks overall. Traces of case colors are present in the protected areas of the locks, with a silvered gray patina on the remainder. A wide 2 inch crack is visible on the right side of the freshened finish buttstock, with some gaps and chips in the buttplate and mild dings overall. Mechanically very good.
