This is an example of a Walther Model PP pistol that has been custom engraved with the larger and distinctive initials "FW B" on the front grip strap. This pistol is engraved in an ornamental vine and floral pattern with fine stippled background, intermixed with geometric designs and borders that covers 98% of the metal surface. Interestingly, the right side of the slide has been engraved with a slightly larger European style "Z" below the ejection port and the noted "FW B" on the front grip strap, the meaning of both is unknown. Also an "SS" under the "skull crossbones" has been engraved behind the front sight on top of slide. Additionally, the left side, center section of the slide also features a small spray of "edelweiss" flowers with a oval border. This pattern of vine/floral engraving with small edelweiss flowers is very rarely seen and usually done only on special order. As noted this is a early pattern pistol, that has the 60 degree safety which has also been fully engraved. The left side of the slide has the Walther Banner followed by the standard, two line, factory address followed by "MOD PP". The right side of the chamber area, slide and front edge of the barrel have the "crown/N" commercial proofmark. It is fitted with the standard black checkered plastic grips with the Walther banner at the top of each grip panel. It is complete with Walther/PP7,65mm, marked magazine with a black plastic finger extension.

Very fine as custom embellished with 98% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The grips are also in very fine condition with nice, distinct, sharp markings on both sides. Mechanically excellent.
