Introduced in 1952 at serial number 650001, making this the 895th revolver in the sequence and possibly a first-year production item. The barrel bears the 38 Officer's Model nomenclature over "*HEAVY BARREL*", and standard markings are present on the frame. The upgrade includes Patridge blade and adjustable notch sights on a full length ventilated rib, a wide serrated trigger show, skeletonized hammer with left-offset checkered spur and right handed thumbrest grips. With a gold labeled Colt leatherette box and test target for an Officer's Model Match revolver.

Excellent as King custom upgraded, with 98% of the blue finish showing some minor handling marks and spotting overall along with some patches of brown patina down in the cylinder flutes. The custom grips are very fine with a few light dents and sharp checkering. Box is fair with hand markings and edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
