Manufactured in 1923. Blade front and notch rear sights with "NEW SERVICE 38 W.C.F." on the left side, two-line address and patent dates on top and the Rampant Colt, "VP" and "8" stamps on the left side of the frame. Fitted with a pair of checkered "COLT" grips and a casehardened lanyard swivel.

Extremely fine, with 98% of the original blue finish showing some light handling marks and edge wear overall. The front sight has been lowered slightly with a mixed brown patina on the top and blue paint applied to the rear. Grips are very good with a few light scuffs and mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
