Description:

According to the factory records (2 letters included) this pistol was shipped out on October 6, 1939 as an order of one for the Athens Hardware Company of Athens, Georgia. Fixed blade front and flat top square notch rear sights with the "NATIONAL MATCH" nomenclature on the right side of the slide along with the Rampant Colt and the two-line address and patent dates on the left. The trigger guard is marked "P/VP" on the left and "77" on the right and the frame is equipped with a long grip safety and checkered short trigger, slide stop, thumb safety, wide hammer, arched checkered mainspring housing and grips, as well as a full blue commercial magazine.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing some scattered light handling marks, takedown scratches below the slide stop and some bright edge wear. The grips are very fine, with some darkening of the right panel and mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
