This is an excellent example of a commercial Colt Government Model semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured in 1937. The pistol has the Colt high polish commercial blue finish with checkered walnut grips. The barrel is blue with bright chamber. The slide has the caliber marking followed by the Rampant Colt on the right side and the two-line Hartford address on the left side. The left side of the trigger guard has the letter "X" over the Colt "VP/Triangle" proof and the right side of the trigger guard is marked with the number "38". The pistol has an all blue magazine marked "COLT/45 AUTO" on the bottom.

Excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with some minor handling marks, some light scratches and some mild high edge wear. The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
