Description:

Manufactured in 1902. Fixed rear sight converted by factory from sight safety with the forward-oriented serrations on the slide which bears the two-line/two-block ""BROWNING'S PATENT"" markings on the left side and caliber markings on the right. The safety unit has been locked open with a pin and a traditional dovetail mounted rear sight installed. The grips are checkered hard rubber with a "COLT" banner and Rampant Colt on each side and the 1884 patent date is present on the magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 30% plus of the original blue finish showing a gray patina on the grip straps, areas of brown on the underside of the frame and on the slide, bright edge wear and mild spotting and handling marks. The heavily worn grips are fair with a replaced screw at the top of the right panel and mild handling marks overall. Mechanically very good.
