This large top break revolver is marked "D. D. LEVAUX" on the left side of the barrel ahead of a "*/Z" proof mark and above "15611". The only other markings are the various Belgian proofs and the gold inlaid and outlined range markings on the top strap. It has windage adjustable front and elevation adjustable rear sights and is fitted with a checkered walnut grips with a finger groove on the left panel and frame. The trigger, break latch and hammer are checkered. A lanyard ring stud is present but the ring is absent.

Very good. The revolver retains 70% of the original blue finish with most of the finish remaining on the barrel. There are some minor scratches, patches of light spotting and pitting and small nicks on the edges. The grips are fair with some cracks chips, scrapes and mostly smoothed checkering.

This revolver has a barrel marked "-NED.WAPENMAGAZION-HAARLEM-" on right and "HAAG-AMSTERDAM-ARNHEIM-" on the left. Liege proof marks are seen throughout and it has an "2" followed by an arrow and "1" on the cylinder along. The right side of the frame has "1920" marked at the bottom while the left side has "CAL/9 . 4" above "L/AM" in a triangle. The front strap is marked "JH" on the right and "IAS 12 8 1 [diamond shape] 19 JH". It is equipped with a dovetailed blade front and frame groove rear sights, a safety lever on the left side, checkered walnut bird's head grips and a lanyard ring.

Very fine. The revolver retains 90% of the blue finish and 70% of the case colors with some minor scrapes and light scratches along with some spotting on the grip straps. The grips are very fine with imperfect checkering on the right panel but sharp checkering overall and some light scratches. The action requires some attention. (It will function but is stiff and the trigger jams and does not reset). The markings are legible.
