Manufactured in 1942, this pistol passed through the Proof House at Birmingham and bears the appropriate markings. Colt 1903's were often issued as sidearms to high-ranking officers and a number are known to have wound up in the hands of the Office of Strategic Services. Fixed sights, with tonnage markings on the chamber, "crown/BNP" on the barrel, slide and frame and a crossed scepter proof on the right side of the frame. The grips are checkered walnut, with silver Rampant Colt medallions on each side. With a brown cardboard "kraft" box hand-numbered to gun, instruction sheet and an extra magazine.

Excellent plus, with 99% of the parkerized finish, showing some mild handling marks, bright edge wear, and a few dark spots in the low areas. Grips are excellent, with a few dings on the sharp checkering and some verdigris around the screw. Box is fine. Mechanically excellent.
