This excellent nickel plated revolver was manufactured in 1964. It has the standard markings and features with the "VP" in a triangle proofmark on the front left of the trigger guard, a "V" on the back left and an "S" on the front right of the trigger guard. The cylinder (partial), frame and grip straps are all stamped with the matching number. The loading gate has the assembly number "326". It is fitted with a set of smooth walnut grips with the partial serial number "692" marked on the insides. It includes a factory stagecoach box with a brown cardboard slip cover numbered to the gun. The box contains an original warranty card, "FOR YOUR PROTECTION" note, receipt from Colt dated 11/11/1964, manual and properly fitted interior. It also includes a factory letter that confirms the configuration but erroneously lists the barrel length as "48". "48" is also noted on the receipt. The letter also notes that this revolver was shipped on December 13th, 1964. This is an excellent example of one of 1,384 Single Action Army revolvers produced in this configuration with a nickel finish.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus original nickel finish with only some faint scratches and other collector type handling marks overall. The box is excellent and the slip cover is good.
