Description:

This Mark VI revolver is dated "1916" below the Webley patent marking on the left side of the frame and has the original caliber marking on the left side of the barrel. The top strap is marked "MARK VI". There are various British proofs including Broad Arrow government property marks throughout. It is fitted with a set of smooth walnut grips and a lanyard loop. The revolver was converted to 22 RF using a Parker-Hale adaptor kit that includes a 22 caliber rifle tube with a secondary rear sight and a replacement cylinder with ejector. According to Bruce and Reinhart on p. 232 of WEBLEY REVOLVERS, the company was reportedly so confident in the accuracy of their kits that they guaranteed them to shoot six round groups into a three quarter inch circle at a distance of twenty yards. Aside from the secondary notch rear sight, the revolver is equipped with blade front and integral notch rear sights.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The revolver retains 40% of the thinned original blue finish with some brown patina forming. The cylinder has some drag lines and there are some minor marks and scratches. The custom made replacement grips are good with only a few slight dings. Mechanically fine with legible markings throughout.
