Developed in the early 1980's for the U.S. Army, the M82 Barrett rifle has been adopted by a number of U.S. and foreign Governments. This impressive weapon has the standard Barrett Manufacturing Inc. markings on the left side of the magazine well. The upper receiver has a full-length (23 3/4) inch Picatinny rail and is fitted with a spring loaded, folding rear sight and comes with a detachable carry handle that also mounts on the Picatinny rail. It has a fluted barrel that is fitted with the signature 2-chamber Barrett, designed muzzle brake. The front of the receiver has a folding metal bipod, AR-15 style grip and safety, and a rubber padded buttstock This excellent rifle is complete with the instruction manual, one original magazine, an Otis cleaning kit and the Pelican 1750 hard case
