This revolver features blade and frame groove sights, a compound lever ejector on the right side of the barrel/frame, unfluted cylinder with raised square type stops, loading gate with rear facing spur latch, spring loaded firing pin in the rear of the frame, and a checkered walnut grip. It is marked "W. TRANTER'S /PATENT" on the left side of the frame and on the ejector arm, "WT" on the front of the frame, British proof marks, and "06" (possibly "90") on most of the components. This example falls at the high range of Tranter patent double action rimfire revolver; while this is less common, other similar examples have been seen in this range.

Fine. The revolver retains 60% plus of the original blue finish and traces of the faded shadows of case colors on the cylinder with some spotting and a gray or brown patina on the exposed surfaces. There are some minor nicks and scratches overall. The grip is also fine with crisp checkering and some small chips. Mechanically functions fine but cylinder is slightly loose with crisp markings.
