Description:

This Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver was manufactured in 1858. The revolver has a nickel plated finish and is fitted with one-piece walnut grip with a high polish varnish. The five-shot cylinder is roll-engraved with the Stagecoach Holdup scene. The top barrel flat is roll-stamped with "{ADDRESS COL SAML COLT/NEW YORK CITY}". The left side of the frame is stamped with the "COLTS/PATENT" marking. The full serial number "147109" is located on the cylinder, bottom of the barrel lug, frame, trigger guard and butt. The casehardened loading lever is unmarked.

Rating Definition:

Very good as period nickel plated. 95% of the nickel plating remain with some flaking at the muzzle and some exposed brass on the rear of the trigger guard. There are some faint scratches and small marks overall as well as a bright drag line on the cylinder. Nearly all of the dark case colors remain on the loading lever. The grip is fine with a hairline crack on the right side and some small scratches, dings, and dents overall. Mechanically fine with clear cylinder scene and other markings.
