Description:

This revolver was manufactured in 1861 with the top barrel flat marked "-- ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA--". The left side of the frame is marked "COLTS/PATENT", and the cylinder is roll engraved with the Texas naval battle scene and "COLTS PATENT NO 101732". The trigger guard is the large rounded pattern. The full serial number is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, cylinder and back strap, and the partial serial number is marked on the wedge, cylinder pin, and loading lever. It is fitted with a smooth one-piece grip.

Rating Definition:

Good. The revolver has primarily a gray patina with light pitting. The grip straps and trigger guard retain 30% of the silver plating and otherwise have an aged patina. The grip is also good with some light scratches and a small chip on the left side toe. Mechanically fine with clear markings.
