Description:

The included factory letter confirms that this revolver was shipped on June 16, 1920, to H&D Folsom Arms Co. in New York, New York, in its current configuration. It has the standard sights, one-line barrel address and left side caliber designation, and the two-line/three-date patent marking followed by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame (filled) and left side of the grip straps with "72" on the back of the cylinder, and the assembly number "928" on the loading gate and rear of the frame. It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips numbered to another gun.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as partially refinished (cylinder). The balance of revolver retains 95% of the original blue finish and deep case colors with some thinning on the grip straps and at the muzzle along with some fading to the case colors on the recoil shield. The cylinder has some slight rotation marks, and some minor scratches are present on the ejector housing. The grips are very fine with crisp checkering and only minor handling/storage marks. Mechanically excellent with clear markings.
