Manufactured in 1958. This is an example of a Model 62A Gallery Rifle chambered for .22 Short only, with a triangular feed cut in the magazine tube. It has dovetail front and adjustable rear sights. The left side of the receiver is factory roll-engraved "WINCHESTER". The left side of the barrel has the Winchester legend with "22 SHORT". The letter "A" appears behind the Model number, this occurred around serial number 98,000 and was due to a change in the breech bolt mechanism resulting in a name change from Model 62 to Model 62A. Grooved forearm and smooth straight grip stock with a plastic Winchester buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the tangs and gray patina on the high edges, action bar and magazine tube. The barrel has some faint streaks of gray. The wood is fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
