Manufactured in 1897 and chambered in .50 Express caliber. Pinned blade front sight and two leaf folding v notch rear sight on a barrel remarked with the standard two line address and "50EX" marked at the breech. "--MODEL 1886--" marked on the upper tang and patent dates and serial number on the lower tang. A saddle ring stud with ring is mounted on the left side of the receiver and full length magazine tube. Blue barrel, magazine, and saddle ring with the rest of the metal surfaces casehardened. Plain forearm and straight grip stock with checkered steel shotgun buttplate.

Very good as refinished. The barrel assembly retains 90% of the blue finish with some shallow light pitting overall. The receiver and other metal components retain 97% plus case colors with some thinning to a smooth gray patina on the lever. The markings are crisp and clear except for the caliber markings. The factory mark on barrel is remarked. The wood is very good with some scattered scratches and dings. The magazine tube is loose. Mechanically excellent.
