This pair of flint pistols have silver stocks with profuse relief engraving. The stock shape is similar to known Ottoman examples believed to have been produced in the Balkan region that was then under their control dating to the eighteenth and early 19th centuries with very thin wrists, distinctly shaped knob on the butts, and the forends covering the front 3 1/2 inches of the barrels. They have miquelet style locks and gold Damascening on the barrels including some unidentified writing.

Fine. The barrel retains most of the Damascene patterns with a brown patina on the iron surfaces. The well aged stock is fine with an aged patina and a couple signs of repair. Mechanically needs work (some parts absent).
