This superb set of exhibition grade Parisian LeFaucheux pinfire revolvers feature beautifully executed silver and gold inlay and fine antique ivory grips. A silver and gold inlaid floral pattern with fine silver rope style borders cover much of the surface. The floral pattern extends to the recoil shields and load gate with the sides exhibiting fine silver rope style borders and "S" pattern. The barrel and barrel lug, too, have the silver and gold inlaid floral pattern. The round barrel section has a gold inlaid monogram on the top and the sides are accented with fine, long gold inlaid lines with the underside incorporating a fancy gold and silver inlaid diamond pattern and inlaid silver bands at the muzzle. The 6-shot cylinder has full coverage of a highly ornate silver and gold inlaid pattern that complements the floral pattern. More silver and gold inlay is featured on the spur trigger guard, buttcap and grip straps. The sculpted mythical creature head hammer is accented with gold and silver filled eyes and checkering on the spur. The left barrel flat is marked "E. LEFAUCHEUX/IN BREVETE." The grips are two-piece and feature a wide ornate silver inlaid band at the bottom. The buttcap is fitted with a lanyard ring. The ebony case is lined in red velvet. The inside of the lid has padded red velvet that is embossed "LEFAUCHEUX/INVENTEUR/37, RUE VIVIENNE/PARIS." The top of the lid is accented with brass inlay and a brass monogram. Brass handles are fitted on the short sides of the case. Along with the two revolvers, the case holds the following accessories: a cap container topped with a silver and gold inlaid and monogrammed blued insert, a polished blue oiler featuring a star burst gold and silver inlaid applicator handle, two antique le tools (the screwdriver features silver inlay on the metal surfaces) and a clearing rod with brass attachment.

Extremely fine. The revolver retains 90% period applied high polished blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The grips are excellent with a few mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with minor handling/storage marks, most of the brass remaining and lining showing high spot wear.
