Description:

Standard blank firing, breech loading Winchester signal cannon. The cannon is designed to fire a 10 gauge 2 7/8 inch blank cartridge only. The top of the barrel is marked "NOT FOR BALL", the right rear is marked with the two-line address/patent dates and "10GA.", "WINCHESTER/-TRADE MARK-" on the opposite, serial number on the bottom and the Winchester oval proof on top at the breech. The cannon is mounted on a cast iron carriage with two metal wheels. Both sides of the carriage are marked "W.R.A. Co./TRADE MARK/REGISTERED IN U.S.A.".

Rating Definition:

Fine overall, with 20% original blue finish, balance is a well aged brown patina. Carriage is very fine with 90% black paint coverage. Mechanically excellent.
