Manufactured in 1956. The rifle has a ramp front sight, First Variety African Model adjustable rear sight and a receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. The barrel and receiver have standard Winchester markings including the Winchester factory proof at the breech. The hinged floor plate is marked "-SUPER GRADE-". Jeweled bolt, extractor, and follower and a late type safety. Bolt is numbered to the gun. Mounted on a select walnut checkered and capped pistol grip high comb stock with cheekpiece and solid Winchester recoil pad.

Very fine. The rifle retains 90% plus original blue finish with some very minor handling marks and the bolt knob thinning to a gray. The refinished stock is also very fine with a shallow indentation from a now removed receiver sight and some scattered minor handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
