Description:

Blade front and three-leaf rear sights, with "1864" on the top flat of the breech and "V/P/eagle head" on the upper left. The American Eagle is present on the bolster and lock, with the lock marked "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" to the front and "1864" to the rear. Smooth straight wrist stock, with a tulip-head ramrod, three "U" marked barrel bands, "GK" and "EJA" cartouches on the left flat and a "US" marked buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel and barrel bands are bright, with scattered mild pitting and light handling marks. The lock and trigger guard show a mixed gray and brown color, with pitting. The stock is also fine, with chipping and cracks around the ramrod slot, scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
