This is an excellent pre-war commercial Walther PP semi-automatic pistol with the desirable "RJ" grip strap markings. In the Walther book, Vol I by Rankin, (on page 117) he identifies these pistols as probably being issued to the "Reich Ministry of the Interior" which was an organization that ordered weapons and supplies for the NSDAP. The left side of the slide is marked with the "WALTHER" in a banner trade mark next to "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella Mehlis (Thur) over Walther's Patent 7.65m/m, MOD PP". The right side of the pistol have the pre-war Eagle "N" proof and the frame has the serial number with "P" suffix. It has fixed sights and the Walther banner marked black plastic checkered grips. The front of the grip strap has the identified "RJ" markings.

Excellent with 97% plus of the original blue finish overall, with edge and high spot wear, with minor blue loss on the front edge of the slide. The grips are also in excellent condition with minimal handling marks. A very nice example of a scarce Walther PP pistol with "Reich Ministry" markings.
