Description:

1) "Boy on the Boat": Large male Eastern Indian dressed in abbreviated clothing with loin cloth and eagle feather headdress paddling a canoe while sitting down up the river. The male is holding a bow with one arm and arrows in the other hand with an oar beneath his feat. There are 2 dead geese behind his back indicating a successful waterfowl. This colorful bronze rests in a flat surface decorated canoe that is fasten on a custom beveled oval black marble plinth. Signed on the bottom of the canoe: "CM Russell" (AM; 19/20th C). The dimensions are 22 inches by 17 inches by 9 inches and weighs 25 pounds. 2) "Girl on the Boat": Female companion to above Indian polychrome bronze sculpture. This native Eastern woman in abbreviated clothing is also sitting in a canoe and is returning from fishing with fish in the back of the boat and an oar underneath her feet. The young attractive bare breasted female rests in a highly decorated canoe that also rests on a custom oval black beveled marble plinth. The dimensions are 17 inches by 22 inches by 9 inches and also weighs 25 pounds and signed on the edge of the canoe "CM Russell".
