Manufactured in 1947. Fixed sights with the one-line address on the left side of the slide and the caliber markings on the right. "Fat" Barrel variation with barrel being longer in diameter than later production examples. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped "5/VP", with "49" on the right. Equipped with a short milled trigger, arched serrated mainspring housing and checkered grips.

Fine as partially refinished (cold blue present on grip straps and side of slide), showing half of the original blue finish on balance, with mild handling marks and edge wear overall. The grips are very good, with a few mild dings. Mechanically excellent.
