Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Produced chiefly out of stamped sheet metal by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, the Liberator was designed to be thrown en-masse out of planes flying over occupied turf. A rough weapon, it was more than sufficient for a disgruntled citizen looking to put a jacketed 45 slug between a Nazi's shoulder blades. While produced in mass quantities, the bulk of the Liberators were scrapped post-War and few survive. Made in the later three-hole configuration with a cast zinc alloy cocking knob, fixed sights, and a hollow grip for ammunition storage.

Rating Definition:

Fine, showing half of the thin finish with the balance an honestly aged gray and brown patina with a few light scratches overall and some minor bending of the ammunition compartment door. Mechanically very good.
