Description:

Produced chiefly out of stamped sheet metal by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, the Liberator was designed to be thrown en-masse out of planes flying over occupied territory. A rough weapon, it was more than sufficient for a disgruntled citizen looking to put a jacketed 45 slug between a Nazi's shoulder blades. While produced in mass quantities, the bulk of the Liberators were scrapped post-War, with few survivors. Made in the two-hole configuration, with a cast zinc alloy cocking knob, fixed sights, and a hollow grip for ammunition storage. Grip compartment contains a pictorial instruction sheet.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, showing 90% of the original parkerized finish with the balance an honestly aged gray and brown patina, with a few light scratches overall and some minor bending and cracking of the ammunition compartment door. Mechanically excellent.
