This rifle uses a short-stroke gas piston system to cycle the action. The outside of the rifle is almost identical to the current M16/M4 carbine currently being sold. It has a rigidly attached, aluminum hand guard with various slots on all four points to allow for the attachment of short Picatinny rails. The barrel is a lite-medium weight configuration with a permanently attached flash hider. The upper receiver and the top of the hand guard have the full length Picatinny rail. Standard factory markings on the receiver, and is fitted with a folding MAGPUL front and rear sight assembly and a 3-position MAGPUL sliding buttstock. This excellent little rifle has a ".223 Wylde" chamber which will allow it to fire both the Commercial .223 ammunition as well as the NATO designed 5.56mm cartridge. It is complete with one 30 round MAGPUL magazine, warranty card, safety lock and plastic carrying case.
