A) Wogdon Marked Hamilton-Burr Dueling Pistol

Description:

Limited edition of 1,200 pair replicas of the pistols used in the famous duel between Burn and Hamilton produced by the United States Historical Society. The top barrel flat is marked "Wogdon LONDON". The right rear flat is marked with the serial number and the lock is marked "Wogdon". Brown barrel, bright hammer, lock, frizzen and flash pan, blue trigger guard and mounted with a checkered nicely figured walnut half stock with a 5 3/4 inch brass forend and bright steel tulip head ramrod. Consecutively numbered to item "B" of this lot.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall. The barrel has 99% plus original brown finish with only minimal handling marks. The action displays scratches on the frizzen from cycling. The wood is excellent with some small scratches present. Mechanically excellent.
