Description:

Manufactured in 1947. The left side of the slide has the one-line Hartford address and the caliber/Rampant Colt on the right. The frame is marked "R/VP" and "49" on the trigger guard, with a short trigger, thin safety, arched serrated mainspring housing.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% plus of the original blue finish, showing some light handling marks and bright edge wear overall. The caliber markings show some broken letters, and there are some "phantom lines" around the address, possibly factory machining/stamping errors. (typical on these early post-war government models) Some spotting is present on the replacement military magazine, which is hand-numbered to another pistol. Grips are very fine, with some mild dents, varnish loss and dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
