Manufactured in Japan, this shotgun features steel mid and white bead front sights on a matte vent rib barrel chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells and choked full with ejectors. The right side of the upper barrel is marked "Weatherby (in script) ATHENA" with gold fill. The barrels and safety are blue. The remaining parts are satin grey with floral scroll and rosette engraving on the frame, false side plates, trigger guard and break lever. There is a also gold inlaid crown on the break lever. Gold washed single selective trigger, manual tang mounted safety and mounted with extra fancy, nicely figured, high gloss checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a white line rosewood grip cap with diamond shaped inset and vented Weatherby rubber recoil pad. Includes original box numbered to the gun and papers. The length of pull is 14 inches.

Very fine as overall. Barrels have 99% original blue finish with some small scratches and handling marks. Receiver is excellent with clear crisp engravings. Stock is excellent with crisp checkering and only minimal and very small beginnings of crack in the varnish primarily at the hard edges. The left side of the forearm just forward of the receiver has a factory wood fill. Box is good.
