Manufactured circa 1897. The barrels are choked modified/cylinder with 3 1/2 inch chambers. A single nickel bead sight is installed on the matte rib and inlaid with a thin gold band just ahead of a 1 inch long floral panel, with the barrels marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD/U. S. AGENTS NEW-YORK" on the right and left, and bearing a number of Belgian/Francotte proofs on the underside. The frame and locks show over 95% coverage of fine engraving with a mixture of scroll and floral vine decorations including several spots where patterns cross over the seam between the locks and the frame. Both lock plates are marked "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE/LIEGE BELGIUM". Fitted with an extra-fancy round knob walnut stock with Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and engraving on the hardware of the splinter forearm. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches.

Very good as professionally refinished (barrels), the barrels retain 85% plus of the high quality blue finish with some scattered scratches. The casehardened components retain 50% of the original case colors with a silvery patina. The engraving remains sharp. The wood is very good with the stock as replaced. The buttstock has scattered dings and scratches along with a recoil pad added. The forearm has scattered scratches and a few pressure dents. Checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
