Manufactured in 1916. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block patent dates and address on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, the caliber markings on the right, and "VP" and "1" stamped on the trigger guard. Finished full-blue overall, with a checkered thumb safety and Colt banner grips. With a hand marked Colt "black box" and instruction sheet.

Good as refinished, showing 98% of the dark custom blue, with a few handling marks, sub-surface pitting and some fading of the markings. The grips are very good with a few light dents. The box is fair, with the lid detached, some absent flaps and partial legibility ("7660") of the serial number. Mechanically fine.
