Manufactured in 1948, the rifle is chambered in the desirable 22 Hornet caliber. Hooded ramp front sight, rear sight absent, and a J. Unertl scope and scope rings. The barrel is marked with the Winchester legend on the left side and the Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The receiver is fitted with straight tang, late safety, and a jeweled bolt with a solid bolt knob. The rifle also has a engraved hinged floor plate with gold inlaid deer's head and an engraved trigger guard with gold inlaid hunting dog's head. Mounted on a checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting tip, high comb and cheekpiece, checkered pistol grip cap, and a checkered Bishop plastic buttplate.

Very fine as custom embellished. The rifle retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with some handling/storage marks and some muzzle wear. The engraving and markings are crisp and clear. The gold plated inlay has an attractive aged patina. The custom stock is very fine with some scattered scratches and dings. The scope has clear optics.
