Measuring 39 1/4 inches overall with a 34 inch lightly curved single fuller blade, showing the WKC trade mark on the right ricasso, 12 1/4 inches of vine etching on the spine, and a 13 7/8 inch martial scroll etched panel on each side including "Feld Artill. Rgt. No 44" on the right panel. Nickel finished steel guard and pommel with a wire wrapped rayskin grip and a nickel finished single ring scabbard. The 44th Field Artillery Regiment was a component of the 16th Division of the Imperial Army; formed in 1818, the 16th saw active combat in the Austro-Prussian and Franco-Prussian War, as well as World War One, including the First and Second Battles of the Somme, First Marne and Passchendaele.

Excellent with light handling marks overall. Some mild dents and scuffs are present on the scabbard.
