Description:

1) Walnut Luger Grips, with the left panel proofed "eagle/135", as used by Mauser starting in 1942. Panel is unstained and unnumbered made from what appears to be European White Birch. The right panel in walnut is numbered "42", indicating Mauser replacement, and proofed "eagle/655" which was used by Mauser from 1939 up until 1942. The Consignor notes these panels were unissued and were never fitted to a gun. Grips are wrapped in a thick waxy paper and also has the original tissue paper wrapping. 2) Coarse Checkered Brown Plastic Krieghoff variation Luger Grips with no makers marks, proof stamps, or serial numbers. Consignor notes these grips are the same variation as those shown on page 46 in the book "The Krieghoff Luger": by Randall Gibson. This variation of Krieghoff grips is found on military Krieghoff Luger pistols dated 1936 to 1939. Both sets are rarely seen separate from a gun.

Rating Definition:

1) Exceptional as unused. The right panel is darker, with a few mild stains and very light dings, and the left panel is lighter, with a few very light handling marks. 2) Excellent, with some mild handling marks.
