A licensed copy of the Colt Government Model manufactured at Kongsberg for the Norwegian military, the factory and its output fell into the hands of the Germans in 1940. In 1945, the final year of the occupation, fewer than 1,000 Model 1914 pistols were manufactured. The slide is marked in one-line, with the "Crown/K" and "WaA84" Waffenamt proofs along with "11.25m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 -- No. 30227" in one-line on the left side and "1945" on the reverse. The frame is also marked with the serial number just above the trigger, with the recoil spring plug, barrel bushing and magazine blank, "227" on the hammer and the full or partial number repeated on the other small components. Smooth trigger, checkered thumb safety, slide catch and hammer and checkered grips. Complete with one lanyard loop magazine with a blued base plate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the slightly faded original phosphate finish overall with edge and high spot wear with thinning on the top front end of the slide, with finish loss on the front grip strap, and on the sides of the recoil spring housing. The grips are in very good condition with 70% of their original black painted finish with nice checkering on both sides showing minor nicks on the left side. The sides of the magazine has been cleaned to a silvery patina.
