Description:

Measuring 36 1/4 inches in overall length with a 25 3/8 inch blade showing a fine hamon (wavy on the left, wavy with sharp peaks on the right) and attractive grain set into a silver washed copper habaki. The tsuba is round darkened brass with the recurring serial number "175" on the seppa (3 per side) and fuchi, cherry blossom themed hilt decoration, and a copper brown cord wrap over rayskin decoration. It has a black lacquered saya with dual hangers. The tang is signed with the Seki Arsenal stamp on the left side above 2 engraved symbols and "175" in black paint, and the right side showing 6 engraved symbols next to 2 red painted symbols.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The blade shows some light spotting and handling marks along with a very tiny chip at the end of the blade. The fittings show mild wear with aged brass visible on the high points of the tsuba, some staining of the wrap and mild handling marks. Saya is good with some scuffs and flaking.
