Description:

Manufactured by Remington Arms in mid 1943. The rifle has a parkerized barrel and receiver with blue on the remaining parts. The receiver is roll-marked "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 1903-A3/3833092". The barrel is stamped "RA/Ordnance Shell & Flame/6-43" behind the rear sight. The left side of the stock directly behind the safety cut-out is stamped with a faint crossed cannons Ordnance Department mark, and a boxed "FJA" cartouche. The underside of the wrist has the standard circled "P" inspection mark, and the left stock face has a clear boxed "O.G." cartouche. The rifle has a two-groove barrel, Remington front sight cover marked "ordnance bomb/U.S." and is mounted with a full one piece walnut stock with matching hand guard, checkered steel buttplate with compartment (cleaning kit not included).

Rating Definition:

Very fine as Arsenal refurbished with 99% original parkerized finish, and only minimal handling marks. Stock is fine, with good grain, only small handling marks, and legible markings. Mechanically excellent.
