He was the Squadron Commander and Wing Deputy Director of Operations at the Strategic Air Command at March Air Force Base in California and then worked in the Minuteman Program (part of the U.S. nuclear arsenal) and as the Chief of Staff at the Space and Missile Center. The group includes: a large number of photographs and documents including his air log, binder of notes from the Minuteman Program, and more. A leather "PILOT'S NAVIGATION KIT/AIRFORCE/UNITED STATES ARMY", a "RESTRICTED" marked "U.S. AIR FORCE AERONAUTICAL MAP OF THE WORLD", West Point Cadet Shako, Pith Helmet, 6595th Aerospace Test Wing hard hat, a variety of pins, ribbons, service awards and many personal items. Most of the items are marked with Keefer's name and the items are fine to very good overall. Some of the documents have tears and stains. They come in two foot lockers marked "CAPT. NORMAN J.
